With more than 12 years’ experience, Lara Oliveira works in the tax area, with a strong focus on federal, state and municipal taxation. The partner has experience in legal consultancy and administrative and judicial tax litigation, focused on industrial activity in technology, finance, energy, aviation, printing, food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals and national defense.
In the advisory field, the partner assists clients with tax planning involving corporate reorganizations, as well as drafting legal opinions aimed at optimizing the tax burden and directing the activities carried out.
Lara also coordinates the team with strategic litigation work, assisting clients during inspection procedures with conflict prevention strategies, as well as after tax litigation has begun. The partner stands out for her strong performance before the Administrative Council for Tax Appeals (CARF) and the Federal Regional and Superior Courts, constantly holding oral arguments and dispatches with Judges and Justices.
Lara graduated from the renowned National Law School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – UFRJ with Magna Cum Laude academic dignity in 2014. The partner has a solid academic base and a constant focus on studies in the legal field.
With a postgraduate degree in Tax and Financial Law from the Universidade Federal Fluminense, Lara also studied Tax Accounting at the Instituto de Pesquisa e Estudos Contábeis do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – IPEC/RJ, and has certifications in Corporate Law and Capital Markets and Civil Procedural Law.
