O Cade aprovou, sem restrições, a venda da participação de 20% da Vale em dois blocos de gás natural na bacia do Parnaíba, no Nordeste, para a GDF Suez. Os blocos PN-T-66 e PN-T-86 somam 6.132 km² de área e foram negociados na 9ª rodada de licitações, de 2008. Os ativos são explorados pela BP (40%), operadora do PN-T-66, Petrobras (40%), operadora do PN-T-86, e a GDF (20%).

Cade approves the sale of Vale’s participating interest to GDF in blocks located at Parnaíba
The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (“Cade”) approved, without restrictions, the sale of Vale’ participating interest of 20% to GDF Suez in two natural gas blocks located in Parnaíba Basin, in Brazilian Northeast. The blocks PN-T-66 and PN-T-86 have a total of 6,132 km² and were negotiated in the 9th Bidding Round, of 2008. The assets are explored by BP (40%), Petrobras (40%), which is the operator of PN-T-86, and GDF (20%).
