O Ministério de Minas e Energia (MME) e a Agência Nacional de Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP) estudam a possibilidade de aumentar o rigor na qualificação de operadores interessados em participar da 12ª rodada de concessões, dedicada à oferta de áreas não convencionais. O objetivo é garantir a segurança durante as operações de faturamento hidráulico e perfuração horizontal, por exemplo, explicou o secretário de Petróleo, Gás Natural e Combustíveis Renováveis do MME, Marco Antônio Almeida. De acordo com Almeida, o governo não trabalha com a formulação de novas leis ambientais ou normas regulatórias, mas sim com exigências, prazos e condições contratuais mais rigorosos para a 12ª rodada, marcada para os dias 30 e 31 de outubro.
The Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) are now studying the possibility of increasing the stringency of the qualification criteria for operators interested in participating in the 12th Bidding Round, dedicated to the offer of non-conventional areas. The motivation is to assure the security of the fracking operations and horizontal perforation, as said by the Secretary of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Renewable Fuel of the MME, Mr. Marco Antônio Almeida. According to Mr. Almeida, the government does not work with the hypothesis of creating new environmental laws or regulations, but intend to establish stricter demands, deadlines and contractual conditions to the 12th Bidding Round, scheduled to October, 30th and 31st.
